The Imperial Valley Friends of Photography Photo Club was originally founded in 1994 by Douglas Scott Blevins, A.S.P, P.P.A. He was a master of photography and a true photographic craftsman. Many valleyites sought and valued his photographical opinions and critique. He specialized in studio, landscape and black and white photography. Some of his favorite local places to photograph were Picacho Peak and Mount Signal. He was often quoted for saying “There is no perfect photo.” Even though Mr. Blevins passed on in 2002, his influence and philosophy on photography still thrives among local photographers today and because of this, we dedicate this website to him.
